November Rain

As I drive around town, I like to take photos to use as reference for my paintings.  On Nov 5th, I took a little video along Ky 741 in Revelo.  You can see it here.  The video is not the best quality, but it did allow me enough info to paint this one.

Autumn Light

I painted this one from my imagination.
No place in particular...just playing with forms and texture.

Inspiration via Video

The rain was slow and steady and had set in for the whole day on Wed, Nov 5.  I thought I'd just take a few snaps as I ran my errands, but I switched over to video to capture the sound of the rain.  I appologize for the louder crackling sound...I don't know exactly where that is coming from.  Anyway, after watching the video when I got home,  I realized this is a good reference source for creating my work.  I am currently working on that and will post the finished paintings soon...

Autumn Angel

"Autumn Angel" - Lower Hickory Grove Cemetary
7 x 5   Acrylic
En Plein Air

It felt good to get outside in the warm (70 degree) sunshine yesterday.  I visited Dad's grave and while there I was inspired to paint the stone angel that is standing in the cemetary.
